Casualty care in Role2 medical support lines still misses the required coagulation diagnostics assistance, even though blood products or corresponding substitutes become increasingly available at these forward positions. ROTEM® Delta technology is known worldwide for its unique robustness and capability to guide transfusions in the case of severe bleeding nearly real-time. Several efforts have been recently started to provide its superior benefits also under the tough Role2 conditions. The rugged ROTEM® Delta system (development in progress) will combine comprehensive diagnostic differentiation between required transfusion products with sophisticated protection against rough environmental conditions like dust, heat, high humidity, power failures, transport shocks, etc. In fact, the currently most advanced bleeding management system will soon become available for the most challenging situations, too. |
